WMP-172 built-in smart card reader
One of Wincomm customers asks Wincomm to make a smart card reader solution to protect the privacy right of patient¡¦s medical information. The classified service providers such as nurses, doctors or hospital administration can use their own smart-card type badge to tell WMP-172 if they have the right or permit to access the information they want. With complete smart card reader software installed, WMP-172 can be controlled well for security reasons. The security features such as the display will be shut down after some time of period without any further input in operations or WMP-172 can be activated only when a smart card is plug in.
For more computing power, with higher performance CPU, sister product WMP-171 is equipped with Core 2 Duo 2.2G CPU with industrial fan. WMP-171 can be built-in smart card reader solution too.

WMP-171 with Medical grade Desktop Stand
Some Wincomm customers come back to Wincomm for desktop type stand solution for their medical applications. They can not find suitable stand locally. Many hospital users want the stand comes with the main unit. Since that Wincomm WMP-171 is designed fully for UL-60101 and EN-60601, Wincomm makes a new design for WMP-171 - a medical grade stand for WMP-171. The whole unit with desktop stand is EN-60601 and UL-60601 approval.
The surface of this medical stand comes with anti-bacteria design. That makes it perfectly to be used in hospital operating room, ICU, and emergency room. The tilt angle of the medical grade stand is 10 degree in front and 30 degree in the back. The strength and the balance are well considered to perfectly fit for the touch application of WMP-171. The stand is stable when people finger touches on the panel of WMP-171 at any tilt angle.
For fanless application, sister product WMP-172 (equipped with Intel CPU Core 2 Duo 1.06G) can be used for this medical grade stand too.?
